1965 BMW 50/2 German Polizei Motorcycle in Jupiter, FL

This R50/2 is surely one of the finest restored and documented of the landmark BMW motorcycles.Perfectly suited for the well-heeled collector or first time classic motorcycle buyer. This bike comes with original registration, documented from the Munich Germany police department, who purchased the motorcycle from the BMW factory. It remained in service for 10 years, then sold and brought to the USA.The bike was totally dis-assembled, the motor and trans was sent to Bench Mark Works, the upper and lower end, slingers and trans rebuilt. Bing did the carbs, Buchanan Spoke and Wheel did the rims with Metzler tires, Palo Alto rebuilt the speedometer which is in kilometers. The bike has the traditional after market Albert mirrors, Earl forks, the Hella Bar-End turn signals, with this beautiful Earnest Hoske racing tank, Pagusa seat with a German vintage rear pillion seat. All covered in green Glasurit paint and hand striped. This is the smoothest, best finished, most quiet and cleanest motorcycle I have ever had the pleasure to ride. This bike is a consistent show winner in its class. The color of the bike was produced by matching the color inside the headlight bucket, police green, in which it served.
